Salford Foundation is a grant giving charity that helps young people to develop their hobbies, interests, skills and talents. It does this by offering the opportunity to apply for funding.

If you are between the age of 5 to 25 and have lived in Salford for a minimum of 3 years then you can apply to the trust. Grants of up £500 are available for individuals.

PLEASE NOTE PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 21

The Football Foundation Facilities Fund 

Aims/priorities: Grants for building or refurbishing grassroots facilities, such as changing pavilions and playing surfaces for community benefit, with money provided by Premier League, The FA and the Government (via Sport England) and delivered by the Foundation. This fund gives grants for projects that:

  • Improve facilities for football and other sport in local communities
  • Sustain or increase participation amongst children and adults, regardless of background, age or ability. 
  • Help children and adults to develop their physical, mental, social and moral capacities through regular participation in sport. 

Who can apply? Applications welcomed from football clubs, professional clubs’, community trysts, multi-sports clubs, local authorities, all educational establishments, registered charitable organisations, not for profit companies limited by guarantee, industrial and provident societies and unincorporated and not for profit organisations. All applications must have security of tenure either be freehold or leasehold. A minimum of 25 years’ security of tenure is required by leasehold. 

Grant amount: Maximum of £500,000.
