Salford City FC are hosting a Blue September event organised by Salford City Council’s health team on 24th September at Moor Lane to co-incide with the home game against Osset Town.

Blue September is a campaign created to get the message out about cancer in men. It aims to raise awareness among UK men and women about all the cancers that can affect men. It urges men to take preventative action by improving their lifestyle choices and to seek medical advice as soon as possible if they have a worrying symptom.

The event will raise awareness about a number of campaigns including healthy eating, keeping active, stop smoking, alcohol awareness and people will also be able to get free health MOT's - height, weight, blood pressure and BMI.

For the kids there’s Giant connect 4, Giant snakes and ladders and physical activity games, as well as beat the goalie. It will be the standard price at the gate: £7 for adults and £3 for all concessions. Gates open at 2:00 pm.
